Rum Cocktail Masterclass – Norwich Cocktail Week
When: Wednesday 1 October 2025, 6pm–8pm
Where: Revolución de Cuba, Norwich
What’s happening: If you fancy learning the art of cocktail-making (with a rum twist), this is for you. Kick off with a strawberry daiquiri on arrival, then learn the history and craft behind some of the world’s iconic cocktails. You’ll also get to mix and taste your own creations — plus a special cocktail made by the head bartender that’s exclusive to the masterclass. £30 per person, 90 minutes.
The Great Norwich Book Quiz
When: Thursday 2 October 2025, 6pm–8pm
Where: Dragon Hall, King Street
What’s happening: Book lovers unite! This is an autumn fundraising quiz in support of the National Centre for Writing. Hosted by their CEO Peggy Hughes, with appearances from people in Norwich’s literary community. All proceeds go toward Dragon Hall (a beautiful Grade-I listed heritage building) and the creative work they do. A fun, social evening mixing food, quiz questions and good causes.
James Acaster: Work in Progress
When: Monday 13 October 2025, 8pm–10pm
Where: Norwich Theatre, Creative Quarter / Over the Water
What’s happening: A rare chance to see comedian James Acaster trying out new material. Expect fresh jokes, rough edges, perhaps some surprises — a peek behind the scenes in comedy development. If you like being among the first to hear new bits and seeing how the creative process works, this is one to catch.
Norwich Spooky Story Walk
When: Friday 31 October 2025, 5.30pm–7pm
Where: Various locations — an atmospheric walk through Norwich’s haunted spots
What’s happening: Ghost stories, eerie alleys, haunted courtyards and macabre tales from Norwich’s past. A master storyteller will lead you through the darker side of the city, where the lines blur between history and legend. All ages welcome (though parental discretion advised). A perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit.
